BDJ Box Beauty Social: Camp Gorgeous

IMG_2556

Last month, I attended my first-ever beauty fair–BDJ Box Beauty Social: Camp Gorgeous–and it was fun. I was so thrilled when I got my first-ever BDJ Box so I was happy when they announced this event. I just couldn’t say no, especially that the venue–SM North Skydome–is very accessible to me. I remember that it was raining hard that day but I almost didn’t feel it (until it’s time to go home and brave the rain storm) because of the fun things to do at the event. So here’s just a recap of my Camp Gorgeous experience.

I attended the first talk, Beauty Prep by the BDJ Box Beauty Ministry. I always watch these beauty experts on their videos at BDJ Box’ website and it was really nice seeing them in the flesh. They’re all beautiful! ^_^ Too bad I didn’t bring a photo buddy with me to have a picture with them. Anyway, Beauty Prep was a great starter to the series of talks in the event. There were lots of interesting questions asked by the audience and answered by the experts. I remember there’s even a boy (yes, a kid) who asked a question and he was really serious and curious’ so cute! Heh.

After that talk, I checked out some booths. Yves Rocher’s booth showcased their products including their newest line–Sebo Vegetal. They also gave away some product samples and coupons. Lots of other booths (L’Oreal, Benefit, Too Cool for School, Piandré, Eco Tools & Real Techniques, Covergirl, and Heroine Make) offered make-overs, which I wasn’t able to try because of long lines. Some booths had more fun activities. PAC had makeup demo and mini workshop. Max Factor and Revlon had DIY makeover contests; Revlon also had a free hair color application booth. Glam Glow offered testing of their mud masks which is superb by the way. (Yes, that’s my only selfie at the event and it had to me my awkweird face, heh) My most favorite booth was L’Oreal’s because of the free skin analysis with complimentary facial! I guess the rest of my time was spent on lining up on that booth. Heh.

For my second talk, I attended the Makeup Essentials talk by Bobby Carlos of Max Factor. He’s a fun speaker and I learned a lot of tips regarding makeup. He also talked about and had a demo of their newest Makeup Artistry Essentials including the Max Factor Facefinity Primer and Max Factor CC Sticks. Those CC sticks are amazing! There’s also a mini quiz after the talk and I won of their gift packs, yay!

I was lucky to attend an extra talk, thanks again for my slot Yette! (Check out Yette’s site at www.yettezkiedoodle.com) ^_^ The final and last talk for Camp Gorgeous was Be Blemish-free for Life by Larissa Joson of Women’s Health. It was a very informative talk and I honestly learned a lot! I now know the secrets when it comes to battling pimples and acne. With that, I believe my blemishes will banish soon! Hee.

  • Camp Gorgeous Loot Bag
  • Max Factor Gift Pack
  • Gift from Yette

And, of course, the highlight of attending events–loot bags! Hee. BDJ Box’ loot bag for Camp Gorgeous is filled with freebies/samples from Pantene, L’Oreal, Bifesta, Revlon, Yves Rocher, Shu Uemura, Physiogel, and Too Cool for School; a magazine from Cosmopolitan and Move; and vouchers from Dermclinic, Yves Rocher, and Bulgogi Brothers. Inside the Max Factor gift pack (my prize) is a travel-sized makeup kit and a Make-Up Artist Essentials booklet. I also met Yette (for the first time) at the event and she was super sweet to give me these gifts (Maybelline/Ellana/Mustela items)! Thank you so much sis, I super love the Ellana lip scrub! YAY! ^_^

I went to Camp Gorgeous and it was my first time as well! Now I’m attending my first ever BDJ Fair and I’m super excited. I won a Max Factor travel brushes set too! Haha. So much in common.

I really wish I could go to one of those BDJ events! I’ve only just been reading these things and the more I read the more I’m itching to go! Sadly, it’s so far from where I am. I’m staying in Dumaguete and I wish just even in Cebu they would organize.. Then, that would be a dream come true!

The loot bag is making me crazy! Love the items!

Waaaaah, I really really jealous on you sis. You have a lot of fun there. And I think you enjoyed that event so much. By the way, what is that on your nose, hehehe, sorry I’m just so curious.

I hope this kind of events comes on my place. Once it come true I’m the first person who register and 100% sure to attend there :-).
