Who doesn’t want to be beautiful? I know I do. It’s not just about the physical appearance; beauty is more than that and as the cliche goes, beauty is skin deep. I’m not the most confident person, hell, I’m not sure I’m even confident. But everyday and in every situation, I always try to be my best and to not shy away on the good things in life, especially on opportunities. For me though, I believe that beauty plays a huge role in confidence. Again, it’s not just about what’s outside; I aim to be a beautiful person in every aspect of my being.
I’m constantly being inspired to aim for my beauty goals everyday thanks to social media and Internet. I like following inspirational and motivational accounts/posts/blogs. My current favorite on Instagram are @bdjbuzz, @bdjbox, and @myflawless; they always remind me to take better care of myself and of what the real meaning of beauty is. The tips and tricks are also very helpful.
Here’s a list to keep me reminded of my beauty goals and my plans on how to achieve them. Hopefully, I’ll inspire some of you to write your own list.
- Develop an effective skin care routine. I’ve been trying different products over a couple of months now in hopes that I’ll finally discover the best product/s for my skin. I not near to completing a routine yet but from now on, I think it’s best to stick to safe and healthy products–those that contain only natural and/or organic ingredients.
- Learn more about makeup. I’ve been interested about makeup ever since, I just didn’t “practice” it that often. My renewed interest is not because I wan’t to conceal my imperfections but to highlight my natural beauty (whatever that is, haha). I’m actually having fun whenever I do makeup on my sisters. Do I have a future on professional makeup artistry? I don’t know. But for now, I just want to learn more in this area.
- Achieve a healthy weight and size. Beauty comes from within so it’s very important to maintain a healthy lifestyle and a healthy body. I’ve learned this the hard way, I used to be really thin but I gained weight over the years. Now I’m paying for not taking care of myself, poor health (yes, even if you’re fat; especially if you’re overweight/obese) reflects on every part of your body–inside and out. For me, I noticed that my hair is not that healthy anymore because I’ve been having hair fall. My skin, what used to be flawless and blemish free is now full of stretch marks and pimple scars. I get tired easily and I always feel stressed. Sometimes I’d get depressed about how I look but mostly about how it makes me feel. I don’t feel beautiful and it makes me sad. Today, I posted a photo of me working out, showing my flabs. You see, that’s not me, I don’t like showing off my fats. Before even thinking of what others might say, I’d be the first one to bash my self. But now getting fit and healthy is my goal. I’ve been trying so long but maybe not that hard. It’s not easy, I would always lose track and I easily get discouraged. Today, I will try harder.
Those are my top 3 beauty goals for now. They are goals, I know that it may take time but I’m really hoping that I’ll achieve them. Please send me a link of this post whenever I feel like giving up! Hee.
