Crafthursday: Rainbow Loom Band Bracelets

IMG_0625

Hello! Who’s a loomer here? Raise your hooks! Hehe ^_^

I’ve been wanting to do this Rainbow Loom band bracelets since early 2013 but I couldn’t find a good loom here in the Philippines then. Mid-year, I noticed them popping in the market and imitations too!!! Because I’m such a cheapskate practical person, I refuse to buy my own kit because I find them (originals) a bit expensive and I don’t want to buy fakes either. Then, I think it was October/November, last year when I saw a sale online (international shop) and thought that was the perfect time! We ordered one kit (we should’ve bought two or more though! LOL). Shipping got delayed and we only received it last February.

My sisters and I were so ecstatic upon opening the box! We immediately made our first loom band bracelets! Yes, like kids. They were nice and we made a lot of bracelets so we decided to sell them in our shop too. ^_~ Personally, I didn’t really expect it to be such a hit! But yes, of course, we are happy and grateful for that. ^_^

Actually, this is also one of the things that’s making me (and my sisters) busy these past few months. But we enjoy making them. It can be a bit hard and tricky at first but when you get the hang of it, it’ll be so much easier! I make the more advanced designs, my sisters do the beginner and intermediate designs; one of my sisters is the pro when it comes to mixing colors.

If you want your own customized Rainbow Loom band bracelets but you don’t have the time (and patience, yes, it take a lot of it!) to make them yourself, you may buy from us (Hungry Shopper – Rainbow Loom Band Bracelets). And yes, we use original Rainbow Loom Bands for your safety. ^_^

I’m curious…

If only you live nearby, I’d teach you! Hehe 🙂 I also do friendship bracelets using different kinds of threads and strings but it’s a bit harder and ang sakit sa kamay minsan! 😛

Yes, matagal na talaga sya actually, now lang ulit na-uso. Probably because of the Net rin, and mas marami nang available sa market, unlike before. 🙂 BTW, did you use the “special” loom bands for your projects before? Or the regular ones lang? 🙂
