Product Review: Céleteque DermoScience™ Skin Care Products

Two weeks ago, I received my first product loot from Sample Room; two of which are these Céleteque DermoScience™ skin care products. I got the Acne Spot Corrector Gel because I was having a breakout which is most probably because of my oily skin (and stress, etc.); the Anti-Wrinkle Ultra-Hydrating Cleansing Oil was another freebie. I tried using them and I loved them so much! So I decided to make a short product review here in my blog.

Below are the product descriptions found on their website.

Céleteque DermoScience™ Acne Solutions Acne Spot Corrector Gel has Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA) and Poly Hydroxy Acid (PHA) that aid in exfoliating dead skin cells and help in diminishing pimples and other acne imperfections. It contains Lilac Leaf Cell Culture Extract that helps reduce sebum production to prevent future acne breakouts.

Céleteque DermoScience™ Advanced Anti-Aging Anti-Wrinkle Ultra-Hydrating Cleansing Oil cleanses the face by removing dirt and make-up while moisturizing the skin. It has Dual Vitamin Regenerating Complex that promotes healthy tissue regeneration, resulting to increased elasticity and moisture levels. This helps in firming the skin and reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and pigmentation.

Acne gel comes in a box with all the necessary product information. Cleansing oil comes in a small plastic bottle as it's only a sample.

How to use

  • Céleteque DermoScience™ Acne Solutions Acne Spot Corrector Gel
    – After cleansing your skin, apply a thin layer on affected areas morning and night.
  • Céleteque DermoScience™ Advanced Anti-Aging Anti-Wrinkle Ultra-Hydrating Cleansing Oil
    – Put a few drops on a cotton ball. Apply to face and neck to remove make-up and deep-seated dirt. You may rinse off excess oil with lukewarm water, then pat dry using a soft towel. It effectively cleanses without drying your skin.

I used these products for five consecutive days and followed the directions for use. The acne gel is very effective as it dries up my pimples fast! How fast you ask? I applied the gel directly at my pimple one night and the next morning, it’s flat and dry already. Of course it would depend on the size of your acne/pimple, for bigger ones it could take two or more applications before it completely dries up. I noticed also that I have less and less outbreak since I started using this product.

I use the cleansing oil at night before I go to sleep. It effectively removes dirt and make up, (because it’s oil and not water) even waterproof mascara and eye liner! I’m sorry, I can’t tell if it can really reduce fine lines and wrinkles because I don’t have them yet. It seems to really moisturize the skin, though.

I love their packaging and design because it’s not very feminine-looking. Don’t get me wrong, I love cute things/designs too but for this product, especially the acne gel, I think it’s nice that it doesn’t look too girly. So guys can buy and use it too without having their “masculinity” questioned. Hehe.

I also liked the tube-type packaging and the nozzle tip of the acne gel because it makes application easier. The tube is small enough to fit in your make-up kit or purse; perfect for pimple emergency!

Both product packaging are made of hard and thick plastic which is great because it won’t break/tear easily. If you like putting them on your make-up kit, fret not, for as long as you properly closed their caps, they won’t spill/leak.

Also, the batch numbers, dates of manufacturing and expiry, are printed at the back of the products. (Some products have these important details printed ONLY at the box/case of the product.)

Pros & Cons

  • Well-thought-out packaging
  • Price could be a bit too much for some people
Advanced Anti-Aging Anti-Wrinkle Ultra-Hydrating Cleansing Oil
  • Effectively removes dirt and make up
  • Nice faint floral scent
  • Leak-proof hard plastic bottle
  • Price (of the commercial sizes) could be a bit too much for some people

Overall Experience

I’m very satisfied with both products because they are effective for me. I liked that the acne spot corrector is in gel form and not a greasy-cream-based solution. Also, it doesn’t dries up your skin too much as other acne products would. I think it won’t lighten dark pimple scars but it’s fine because I’m using other product to address that issue.

The cleansing oil is a great alternative to my usual face-cleansing product because it effectively removes make up and dirt with only a small amount. I also love the glow that my face gets after using this product.

I give a rating of 5 out of 5 stars for both products.
