September Collective Haul: Exploring Brands

cover

Better late than never! Ha! I won’t even try to explain why I’m only posting about this now. Tsk.

September was like an extension of my birth month; shopping felt like a birthday treat, seriously. I don’t know why. Heh. Last month, I decided to explore brands and try products that I haven’t used before. Alright, let’s cut off the usual long intro and here goes my September collective haul!

Bath and Body

I’m still battling hair fall and I’m so serious about it that I bought three(!) different anti-hair-fall shampoos. I’ve been using Pantene for a long time but I believe I haven’t tried this variant yet. Lauat shampoo is highly recommended by one of my favorite bloggers–Gen-zel–and I’m finally giving it a try. Nanny Rose has natural and organic ingredients so if the former two fails, this one should at least be good to my hair.

Glam Works nose strips were on a buy-1-get-1-free promo so why not give it a try? I find wax strips to be a little expensive so I’m giving this Strip It natural sugar waxing treatment a try. I guess I’m in some kind of natural/organic thing lately and I just realized that now. Heh. I also want to understand the hype with ridiculously-expensive organic soaps so I bought this Barenaturals Herbal Wonder Soap. Recently, I’ve been loving FLAWLESS products so I bought one online. I want to try their SAS Soap for my currently problematic skin.

Skin Care

Been hearing a lot of buzz with this Cell Booster Kit from FLAWLESS. Got two of these at a super sweet deal from the #stayFLAWLESS app and got the other one to complete my set. Quick FX also receives a lot of raves so I’m joining the bandwagon and bought all four variants.

Nails

I love doing my own nails and given that it’s only less than 100 days ’til the holiday season, it’s time to stock up on glitters and all sparkly things! I’ve been looking for a cheap but good gold glitter nail polish and I found one at HBC! San-San also has a base coat that I didn’t know about so I grabbed one. From Girl Stuff, I bought a matte top coat and another sparkly polish. I found these Jocarste polishes at SM Department Store and they have really fine glitters which I love. And I’m so happy to find this Bobbi nail polish solvent!

Beauty Tools

I’m still building up my starter make up brush set and I got three new brushes to add to my collection. Got these blush brush, concealer brush, and lipstick brush from Marionnaud. Everything in this photo can be found at SM Department store. These non-expensive hair stuff are my best buddies whenever I put on make up.

Food Related

Yummy magazine is a usual gift from my boyfriend (thanks love!) and I got the Barkada’s gift certificate from a bloggers event (review soon!).

Everything in that picture, except for the fabrics which are pillow cases actually, were from Japan Home. More mason jars for me and for my new hobby–juicing! Hehe. Pillow cases were from Landmark, they were on sale and they’re so pretty. Heh.

Sample Room

Renewed my Sample Room VIP status again but last month was a slow month for samples. But still, I love my SR hauls for September, especially those DKNY perfumes!

BDJ Box

Yep, this is a regular BDJ Box but on a larger box with more products! Read my unboxing post/review here: Unboxing My September 2014 BDJ Box: Beauty Innovations.

Events Loot

First picture was from the BDJ Box Beauty Social: Camp Gorgeous fair. Next was my MIBF haul, read more about it at The 35th Manila International Book Fair and My Non-book Haul. Last was from the PAC Workshop I attended.

So that’s everything for my September haul. Gah, I don’t know why I keep on buying basic stuff when I still have a lot on my stash. Hopefully, I’ll get to really explore the world of makeup in the coming months. Hee.

I haven’t done any Saladbox review because I haven’t subscribed to one yet. It really depends on one’s perspective e…Saladbox is cheaper and sometimes has fun curation of boxes. On the other hand, BDJ Box has a lot of products in every box and you’ll always get twice/thrice/more of what you paid for, but BDJ Box items are always a “surprise” and they have very limited boxes per month. If I had a lot of money, I’d subscribe to all beauty boxes available in our country! Haha! #wishfulthinking 🙂
